Welcome to my blog! I’m Mabel Walton, the marketing manager at The Talent Hackers.  We are a B2B talent acquisition support company based in Worcestershire that supports ambitious growth companies throughout the Midlands,  part of the new wave of disruption in hiring.

As a member of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, I have access to courses, networking events and training as part of the membership. The chamber team regularly runs a free interactive workshop called ‘An introduction to Digital Marketing and PR’. It was insightful to learn all about SEO, domain trust & the importance of maintaining SEO.  Having studied marketing at the University of Worcester, I had some knowledge of SEO & the algorithm behind it, however this was limited and only touched upon lightly as part of my degree. At the end of the course I received a certificate to show I had completed the training.

A further benefit of the chamber membership is the free marketing opportunities, including the chamber’s Business Direction Magazine. I have submitted an article based on the set theme of ‘technology within business’, which will be published in the physical magazine for the January-February edition.

I’ve seen a positive response rate from subscribers to our Talent Talks September Newsletter with an impressive open/click rate. I was particularly pleased with this result as it was the first time I’d written the newsletter without assistance or suggestions. I enjoy writing the newsletter as it gives me the opportunity to reflect on what the business & I have achieved in the past month.

I ventured down to The Kiln to meet Talent Hackers CEO Peter Chatterley for our weekly catch up, we had an interactive session planning customer journeys, considering how we can enhance each touch point. I also had the pleasure of joining fellow Kiln members (coworking space) on the monthly litter pick, in partnership with Worcester Business Improvement District’s campaign to clean up Worcester City. Such a lovely community to be a part of, I feel lucky to have met such positive people!

The Talent Hackers outsourced telemarketing project has concluded; discussing with Peter, we have established some good quality connections which we are excited to explore. As telemarketing proved useful, the next campaign will commence during Q1 in 2022. What we have learned from the initial campaign is we can define our ideal client profile even further. It is evident that there are certain criteria that we are looking for, and companies that may not be suitable for us to partner with. Moving forward, I will create an ideal client profile based on the results from the campaign.

It’s Christmassss! (Well not quite)

Finally, as we are nearing the festive season, I’ve started to think about placing our Christmas card order, creating our client Christmas spreadsheet etc. As a Christmas fanatic it’s a dream task!

We’d love to have you as part of our community, if you would like to sign up to our monthly newsletter please click this link http://eepurl.com/ho9Gm1 or email mabel@thetalenthackers.com
